This hybrid marries the citrus-forward legacy of Tangie with the electrifying vigor of ON Haze, resulting in a tropical/equatorial-dominant cultivar that stands out in both aroma and effect.
Tangie: A Citrus Legacy
Tangie traces its roots to a cross between California Orange and Skunk #1, a combination that was initially bred by Skunkman Sam. His seeds were sold to DNA and the initial selection was done by Crockett Family Farms, where it got it's new name "Tangie", and soon became a big hit within the community for its flavor and it scent.
ON Haze: A Decade of Refinement
ON Haze is a proprietary line I've cultivated since 2012. It began with a female Nevil's Haze I had since 2004. In 2012, I obtained Original Haze seeds from Skunkman Sam, the very genetics he provided to Nevil in the 1980s. By selecting a male from Sam's Haze seeds and backcrossing it with my Nevil’s Haze female, I developed ON Haze—a line that enhances the electric, psychedelic qualities of Haze while introducing a unique "neon" vibrancy to its offspring.
The Hybrid: Tangie x ON Haze
Crossing Tangie with ON Haze results in a plant that retains Tangie's signature citrus aroma while amplifying its visual and psychoactive appeal. The ON Haze influence introduces a "neon" effect—phenotypes exhibit bright, vivid hues and an energetic growth pattern. Expect a range of expressions, from tall, lanky narrow leaflets to more compact structures, all exuding a complex terpene profile of sweet citrus, exotic spices, and classic Haze undertones.
