Purest Indica & OG Kush Terpenes

OG Kush is a phenomenal cutting that has been floating around since the mid 90s. It originated in Florida and was brought to California by a gentlemen named Matt who gifted it to his friend Josh.

Josh is often credited with breeding OG Kush, but if you ask him, he will tell you that he was gifted the cutting and that it was originally started by growers in Florida.

You can watch us talk about OG Kush and how Josh received it in this 2015 YouTube video:

THE TRUE ORIGIN OF OG KUSH

I was fortunate enough to receive a cutting of OG Kush after I was released from prison in 2004 and I have a lot of first-hand experience growing the plant. I’ve had a long time fascination with OG Kush because it has been such a good medicine for me personally and I have come to really appreciate the plant being in my life.

Learning how to hold onto exceptional plants through asexual propagation for a long time is something I recommend to every serious cultivator. Once you learn the art of perpetual cultivation, every seed pack that you purchase, or cutting that you receive becomes an investment that you can enjoy for the rest of your life.

After flowering and smoking the Northern Lights genetics from Seattle Greg, I immediately saw a similarity between both the the Purest Indica, Northern Lights #2 (which is a combination of Purest Indica x (Afghan x Afghan)) and OG Kush.

The scent, flavor and high of some of the Purest Indica plants was incredibly close to the OG Kush cutting and although the plants grew entirely differently, as the Purest Indica is extremely leafy and high-yielding compared to low leaf to high bract (not calyx) ratio and low yield of the OG Kush.

Last week I had both the OG Kush and Purest Indica tested for their cannabinoids and terpenes and one of the Purest Indica plants had an almost identical terpene profile of OG Kush.

This is exceptional because I have been wondering what were the parents of OG Kush for a very long time and I feel that this test has revealed what I was suspecting all along.

If you like OG Kush, and you are looking for a similar profile with a much better yield, I would highly recommend going through these seeds.
